Laidback Luke, Steve Aoki, Lil’ Jon – Turbulence (Teaser)

18 Feb

This was released a few days ago on Mixmash’s Youtube Channel (Mixmash is Laidback Luke’s label). I really can’t wait for this track to come out. When you combine the talents of Laidback Luke and Steve Aoki, good things are bound to happen. Although DJ’s have been playing this track for a while (I heard it back at Electric Zoo in September 2010), the track was never released due to complications with Lil Jon’s Management. Personally, I can’t see how Lil’ Jon could have contributed anything to this massive track besides saying the words, “What?!” and “Yeah!”, but that discussion is for another time. The track is due to be released February 28th. Check out the teaser video below!

Nadia Ali, Starkillers & Alex Kenji – Pressure

15 Feb

I’ve been waiting for this track to be released for over a month, and the time is finally is here! Just like before, I can’t help but profess my undying love for Nadia Ali and her godly vocals. She absolutely kills it in this track. Look for this track to obliterate dance floors in the near future when it becomes more popular. Until then, ENJOY!

Note: Just like Austin Leeds’ ‘Rubadub’, you need to play this track through a good set of speakers, not your puny computer speakers or headphones.

Fedde le Grand & Patric La Funk – Autosave

15 Feb

Here’s the second Huge track of the week by the one and only, Fedde le Grand. Made alongside Patric La Funk, this new track, ‘Autosave’, was previewed a few weeks ago, and got a great response from the YouTube crowd. Now, the track’s finally been released, and it’s great. At times, I’m not the biggest fan of Fedde because of his tendency to play pop tracks in his live sets that are way too crowd friendly, instead of playing some dark, dirty house tracks. But, he does bring a very unique sound to the House Music scene. Fedde brings his classic style of combining pop, house, and chill elements into an awesome, roller coaster of a track. Not too shabby for a Valentine’s Day present. Enjoy!

Michael Woods – First Aid

14 Feb

I know, it’s been a while since the last post. But it’s okay because last week was a pretty slow week in the House Music World. Never fear though. This week we’re bringing you a ton of new releases, most of which I’m really excited to finally get my hands on.

I present to you the first BANGER of the week: Michael Woods’ track, ‘First Aid’. This track has you hooked from the moment you hear it, with it’s awesome sound progression, melodies, and spine-chilling progressive synths. Our first post on Michael Woods should have given you a hint that his tracks should Not be taken lightly. Let this new track be a solid reminder that this guy is a genius when it comes to producing. In fact, Woods has had such an impression on me that he is slowly creeping his way into my Top 10 favorite DJs list. Enjoy!

Ian Carey ft Snoop Dogg & Bobby Anthony – Last Night (Afrojack Remix)

4 Feb

Ian Carey stepped out of his comfort zone, working with hip-hop sugar-daddy Snoop Dogg, and rising hip hop talent Bobby Anthony, to produce a club-friendly track called Last Night. Personally, I felt like Carey missed the mark, producing a song that could be tossed with all the other countless David Guetta-wannabe-tracks that are out there now (but, Snoop’s part is pretty good). Plus, it’s a little too Top-40 for my taste.

Enter Afrojack. What this guy does to subpar tracks is pretty incredible, making his remixing ability almost on the same level as Laidback Luke and Tiesto. Afrojack definitely makes Carey’s track much more house friendly, delivering the classic dirty dutch sound we all love to hear. Check it out, and let me know what you think in the comments section below.

Austin Leeds – Rubadub (Original Mix)

3 Feb

Damn. You know that feeling you get when you forget a song’s name, then give up, and THEN you randomly find it? Well, take that feeling and multiply it by 100. That’s exactly how I feel right now. I heard this track when I saw Avicii at Pacha NYC back in October, and I’ve been trying to find it ever since. The track’s been out for months, but it’s pure gold. The funky and electro elements in this track make it one of those under-the-radar Bangers that, for some reason, has not received it’s deserved publicity. Not anymore. I present to you, Austin Leeds’ Rubadub (Original Mix). Note: If you are used to tracks with vocals, you will be disappointed. And if you’re complaining about this track, then you haven’t realized that this track is exactly what house music is about.

Tip: To achieve full ear-gasm, you MUST play this on a good sound system, and turn your speaker volume UP. The bass from this track doesn’t deserve to be forgotten by your puny headphones. ENJOY!
